Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences was given a status of Deemed University from 29th September, 2003 by Human Resource Development Ministry, Govt. of India on the advise of UGC under section (3) of UGC Act 1956 vide their notification No. F-9-11/2000-U.3.

As per the directives of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central Government on 24.05.2016. Admission to undergraduate courses in Medicine (MBBS) and dentistry (BDS) for academic year 2016-17 in constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University) will be done on the basis of marks obtained in The AIPMT-2016/NEET- I which was conducted on 1/5/2016 / NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST – II (UG), 2016 conducted on 24/7/2016.

The candidates desires to take admission in constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), Loni need to apply to university along with All India Rank and percentile of marks obtained in AIPMT-2016/NEET-1 or NEET-II. The merit list of the candidates who have applied to the PIMS-(DU)will be prepared based on All India rank obtained in AIPMT-2016/NEET-I or NEET-II. The said merit list will be referred as PIMS-DU merit list herein after. The selection will done on the basis of merit of candidates reported for counseling.

Candidate must be an Indian National. The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate /Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality.

• The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 1999.
• Candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated below.

The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to (10+2) Higher/Senior Secondary Examination which is conducted after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English as a core course.

Candidates belonging to general category who secure minimum of marks at 50 percentile in AIPMT-2016/NEET- I or NEET-II. and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses.

Candidates belonging to backward classes (SC/ST/NT & OBC) who secure minimum of marks at 40 percentile in AIPMT-2016/NEET- I or NEET-II.and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses.

The admission to MBBS / BDS Courses will be offered only on the basis of merit of candidates reported for counselling. There is no reservation for backward class (SC/ST/NT & OBC).

Filling of Application form
The students are required to fill online application form to participate in admission process of PIMS-DU.

Method of filling of On-line Application Form :

• Log on to university website : www.pravara.com and download prospectus and read it carefully to understand requirement for submission of on-line form.
• Go to the link “Apply on-line”. fill in the on-line application form carefully.
• Upload image of photograph in JPEG format.
• Candidate belonging to Backward class/ Reserve category should upload Caste/ Caste Verification Certificate.
• If candidate has qualified the qualifying examination (HSC/ 10+2) from international board, he/ she should upload AIU equivalence certificate.
• Make payment of processing fee through Debit/ Credit card/ e-challan/ Net banking.
• If the candidate desired to pay processing fee through e-challan. The e-challan need to be printed and payment should be made in any nationalised banks. After the payment is made the candidate is required to upload e-challan copy to complete the on-line application submission process.
• Take printout of confirmation page. Please keep the confirmation page and copy of proof of processing fee deposited (if deposited through e-challan) for future reference.
• The candidates are not required to send the confirmation page of online application form to the university.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• The candidates are advised to submit only one application form. If a candidate submits more than one application form, his/ her both applications will be rejected.
• The candidates must note that after submission of the application form it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of processing fee will not be entertained.
• The candidates must note that the complaints regarding double payment of fees or any other issue related to fee will be entertained after 30/09/2016.

• The annual fees payable by the candidate admitted to the constituent Colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences will be subject to review. Fees for the academic year 2016-17, are as given below :

  The above fee structure shall be applicable for a period of three years for admissions for Academic year 2016-17. The tuition fee for M.B.B.S course shall be increased by 15% and tuition fee for B.D.S. course shall be increased by 10% of the existing fees for the remaining period of the course from the Academic year 2019 - 20.
  
  * Eligibility Fees : - 5% ( Five %) of Tuition fees (Once Only).
• Mode of Payment - At the time of counselling, the candidate will have to bring a demand draft of entire fees mentioned in clause (a) above in favour of “Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni”, drawn on bank as indicated below:

  The request for extension of time limit for payment or to accept partial payment will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  
  The candidate admitted to the college will be required to execute an agreement in the Proforma (Annexure - C) which will be given to him/her at the time of admission, to cover the tuition fees for the remaining years of the duration of the course.
  
  The University does not charge capitation fee or any hidden fees.
